European club shirts 26/27: how to pick yours

Every summer the European clubs present a new set of shirts, and choosing just one gets harder every year. Home, away, third, special editions, pre-match shirts: this five step method takes you straight to the right one.

Step 1: think about where you will wear it

  • At the stadium and on the sofa: any shirt works, as long as it is comfortable.
  • Every day, with jeans: designs with fewer stripes and darker colors are easier to combine.
  • To play: a lighter, more fitted cut makes all the difference.

Step 2: home, away or third

The home shirt is the club's identity and the one that lasts longest in the wardrobe. The away and third shirts change more from season to season and often bring the most creative designs. Many clubs also have special editions, pre-match shirts and goalkeeper shirts, which are great for those who want something nobody else at the stadium is wearing.

Step 3: fan or player version

The fan version has a classic, looser cut. The player version is slimmer and more flexible, with better sweat absorption, and the crest and sponsors are embroidered. It also costs more. Compare them in our fan vs player guide or see the player version collection.

Step 4: get the size right

Open the SIZE GUIDE on the product page and measure a shirt you own from armpit to armpit. In our fan table, size M is 55 to 57 cm wide and 71 to 73 cm long; in the player table, M is 51 to 53 cm wide. Step by step in the size guide.

Step 5: finish it your way

Add a name and a number on the back, and the league or Champions League patch when the shirt offers it. These are the details that make a new season shirt look complete. See how in our customization guide and our patches guide.

What 26/27 means

The two numbers are the season: 26/27 runs from the summer of 2026 to the spring of 2027. National team shirts use a single year instead, like 2026, because they follow the tournament calendar.

Last season's shirt is still a great choice

A 25/26 shirt carries the memories of the season that has just ended: the goals, the titles and the big nights. Many of them are still available, and they are a great way to keep that season with you.
